Art in the air, floating high above.
Expertly hung from a ceiling support structure, or from our portable big rig, an acrobat performing on Aerial Silks or Aerial Sling is a captivating form of entertainment. With traditional Aerial Silks, the fabric is hung from a single rigging point with two, separate, long tails of fabric. In contrast, Aerial Sling is when the fabric is hung from two separate points, creating a sling or hammock that is typically 4-6 feet off the ground.
Aerial fabric acts work best in areas with at least 12 feet of ceiling height clearance. A pre-event consultation, as well as a professional rigging inspection, may be required before booking. When hanging from a support structure, we will typically use a Spanset or iBeam clamp to create the rigging point. On occasion, the venue/client may be responsible for providing ladder or lift in order for us to rig safely. We can also set up our Big Rig, which stands 18-20 feet tall and takes up a footprint of 20 feet by 20 feet – this option tends to work best for outdoor events or warehouse/convention center venues.
